As we embark on our GBT2024 tour, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had so far. From the stunning greens to the camaraderie among our members, each event has been a testament to the passion for golf and business within our community. West Lancs Golf Club – February 15th, 2024
Our journey kicked off at the prestigious West Lancs Golf Club, where we were met with challenging winds and impeccable fairways. Despite the weather, our members showcased their skills and determination, setting the stage fGalleryor an exhilarating season ahead. The winner, Chris Hodson, with 42 points, displayed remarkable resilience against the elements, while our runner-up, Danny Woods, impressed with a solid 41 points. St Annes Old Links – March 7th, 2024
Next, we headed to the picturesque St Annes Old Links Golf Club, where the sun finally made its appearance after last year’s blizzard. The stunning coastal backdrop provided the perfect setting for some outstanding performances on the course. Mike Birchall triumphed with 40 points, while Chris Stanley and Mike Lythgoe secured the runner-up and third places with 40 and 39 points, respectively. Catch all the highlights and photos here.
Sandiway Golf Club – April 25th, 2024
At Sandiway Golf Club, we were treated to near-perfect conditions and exceptional hospitality. With the sun shining and the course in pristine condition, our members rose to the occasion, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. Rory Aiken’s inspiring return to golf after an illness saw him win with an incredible 45 points, followed by Mark Ball with 40 points and Mike Birchall with 38 points. Whittington Heath Golf Club – May 16th, 2024
Our most recent stop took us to the charming Whittington Heath Golf Club, where history and tradition meet modern-day golfing excellence. Despite the threat of extinction, this hidden gem has persevered, offering our members a true test of heathland golf. Warren Hamlin made history as the first guest winner from the previous event to win as a member, scoring 42 points. Martin Rayner and Steve Sewell rounded out the top spots with 39 and 35 points.
