The inaugural event of GBT2024 West Lancs Results our10th-anniversary tour unfolded with grandeur at the renowned West Lancs Golf Club. Why do we keep returning to West Lancs every year? Simply put, it’s an awe-inspiring course that never fails to impress.

In the face of the relentless rain over the past nine months, West Lancs once again asserted itself as one of the North West’s premier year-round golf courses. The course, a testament to its quality, showcased resilience, proving to be in impeccable condition.

🏆 Winner: Chris Hodson

A Stellar Start to the 10th Year Anniversary Season
Congratulations to Chris Hodson for securing the top spot with an outstanding 42 points at the West Lancs Golf Club event. A triumphant start to our 10th-anniversary season.

It was great to see Chris fit and well again playing great golf.
I’m sure he would love to end the season in the tour final to cap off his return…?

🥈 Runner-Up: Danny Woods

Danny showcased exceptional skills, earning the runner-up position with an impressive 41 points.

🥉 Third Place: Steve Critchley

Tight Race and a Thrilling BB9 Finish – In a tight race, Steve sealed the third spot with 40 points, edging out Chris Stanley on a BB9, adding an extra layer of excitement to the leader board.

A great start to the season for our three-time finalist.
As they say, “Always the bridesmaid but never the bride!” Maybe this year could be the one…?

🌬️ Weather Report: No Wind, a Few Showers, and as the scores demonstrated a scoring day!

Despite the absence of wind and a few passing showers, the West Lancs Golf Club course maintained excellent conditions. A testament to the course’s resilience, considering the recent weather challenges. While a few fairways exhibited a handful of puddles, the majority of the course remained dry, and, according to the feedback received, proved to be an absolute pleasure to play. As depicted in the video below, the absence of wind and unusually mild temperatures for February provided an ideal setting for our golfers. The sporadic bursts of rainfall did little to deter the enthusiasm, and the day witnessed some stellar scoring performances.
