Welcome to the results page for the GBT2024 Huddersfield! Our fifth stop on the tour brought us to the picturesque Huddersfield Golf Club and what a day it was!
Our fourth visit to the beautifully designed Huddersfield Golf Club did not disappoint. Known for having one of the toughest opening holes on the GBT tour—no birdies and only two pars on the day—the course provided a formidable challenge from the start.
Course History and Challenges
Huddersfield Golf Club, founded in 1891, stands as one of the oldest and finest championship golf courses in the North of England. The original courses were laid out by Tom Dunn, one of the leading golf course architects of the day. The course’s design offers a true test of golf, with the peaks and troughs of the Yorkshire hills, lush fairways, penalising rough, and tricky greens. It’s not only a test of stamina but a true test of skill.
Interesting Stat from the Day:
Front nine to back nine scoring:
– 11 players scored better on the back nine
– 10 players scored worse
– 6 players scored the same
As you will see from the video above, the day was perfect for golf, topped off with a delicious meal. Awesome!

Steve Critchley continues his great start to the tour with this fantastic score. Could this be Steve’s year to finally be crowned GBT Champ? His performance was outstanding, showing skill and determination.

Runner Up: 🥈 Mike Pitch (The Layout Pad) – 38 Pts
A return to form for GBT’s 2021 champ. Although it’s not been his strongest start to the season, it looks like Mike’s on his way back.

Third Place: 🥉 Simon Whittle (Westgrove) – 36 Pts
Simon has made one of his steadiest starts to the GBT tour ever. A founder member, could this be Si’s year to finally end his 10-year agony?
