Huddersfield Golf Club

Wednesday 2nd June 2021

SPONSOR : DATP Ltd - NEO

This par 71 private moorland golf course is laid out in two loops of nine holes, both starting within 80 yards of the clubhouse. The course offers a wonderful variety of golf played on springy moorland turf. The greens, which are USGA standard, and the quick drying fairways offer the best chance of play throughout the year. 'Golf can be best defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle, followed by great food, a drink and a good catch up with family and friends.' Huddersfield Golf Club's history and tradition are key elements to the ethos of our club. Huddersfield Golf Club is one of the oldest and finest championship golf courses in the North of England." Conwy Golf Club

Wednesday 23rd June 2021

Conwy’s 6,901 yards have proved an awesome challenge in the winds of the Caernarvonshire coastline. The course lies at the mouth of the River Conwy, overlooked on its south side by Conwy Mountain and on its north side, overlooking the Conwy Estuary and the Great Orme. This stunning location and the challenging but fair links course will provide a memorable experience for all visiting golfers, and our aim is to ensure that each visitor will have an enjoyable and rewarding day.
The course has variety throughout. Its seaside character is made clear from the start, the second a par 3 nestling in the dunes and the third curving along the shoreline.

Reddish Vale Golf Club

Thursday 8th July 2021

SPONSOR : Q Financial

Occupying around 100 acres of the Tame valley, Reddish Vale Golf Club unusually has 7 holes in Lancashire and 11 in Cheshire. This is due to it being divided by the river Tame which winds through the course. Founded in 1912, the par 69 course is somewhat unconventional with four of the five par 3's on the scorecard played on the front nine. Reddish Vale was designed in 1912 by the World famous golf course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie and is the most interesting and spectacular golf course in the whole Manchester area. The layout attracts attention and reviews from leading course architects worldwide including Tom Doak. Address: The Pro Shop Reddishvale Golf Club Southcliffe Road, Stockport SK5 7EE

Beau Desert Golf Club

Wednesday 28th July 2021

This is a stunning heathland course. Heather and gorse-lined fairways, framed by acres of firs and spruces. It’s certainly not a long course, measuring 6,458 yards from the tips, but it’s narrow. You need accuracy from the tee. The greens are quite large, especially the 18th, and they are full of wicked borrows, so expect a few three putts. Beau Desert is no pushover; on numerous occasions it has hosted Open Championship qualifying rounds and more recently (2012), England Golf's County Championships which was won by the Wiltshire Golf Union. Invariably, the course is maintained in excellent condition. GBT Comment "This is one of our favourites, par 70  private woodland course has rolling fairways and testing greens" Address: The Beau Desert Golf Club, Rugeley Road, Hazelslade, Cannock, Staff's, WS12 0PJ.

Hesketh Golf Club

Thursday 12th August 2021

Designed by James Ogilvy Fairie Morris, Hesketh Golf Club was founded in 1885 and is located in one of Southports premier locations. When the Open comes to Royal Birkdale, Hesketh Golf Club hosts the Open Championship Qualifying. A great course  that presents a challenge to golfers of all standards.

Clitheroe Golf Club

Friday 27th August 2021

Clitheroe is one of the best inland golf courses in Lancashire. Whilst not a championship test, the course will prove a strategic challenge for golfers of all levels.

Wilmslow Golf Club

Thursday 16th September 2021

In the late 70's and early 80's, famous golfers such as Faldo, Jacklin, Gallaher and Woosnam walked the fairways here. This was when it hosted the Martini International and the Greater Manchester Open. Although no longer the toughest test for world class golfers, this course is still venue to many county championships and will challenge even top level golfers.

Prestbury Golf Club

Thursday 7th October 2021

SPONSOR : Taylor & Taylor Financial Planning

This Par 71 parkland course has been used as a regional Open Qualifier and in 2018 was ranked in National Club Golfer magazine's Top 100 Courses. Unlike lots of other courses in the area, Prestbury hardly ever closes due to heavy rain. This is down to the sandy subsoil and the nature of the course meaning it drains very well.
