For our seventh event of the GBT 2023 season we visited Clitheroe Golf Club. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and congrats to the winners!

Despite challenging weather conditions with squally showers and gusts of wind, our golfers showed incredible resilience and determination on the course. It was certainly not the typical GBT day, but they embraced the challenge with great spirit!
Right from the off, the first tee provided a great opening shot to test everyone’s abilities, as well as giving a taste of the intricacies of the course.
Sweeping down the Lancashire countryside, the first hole a short par 5 in terms of length but a tight line and many took their shots down the 18th! Not on purpose though!
Clitheroe has some stunning golf holes. And, considering the rain and the dry spell we have had over the last couple of months, the course was in great condition.
Clitheroe like Sandiway has become one of our favourite courses on the GBT tour. I am sure we will be returning again next year.
All in all, everyone had a great day of tournament golf and networking opportunities.

Stroke 1 – 12th Par 4 – 438 yards (Zero Burdies, 3 Pars, 11 Bogies, 11 Double Bogies and 7 worse)
Clitheroe Winners
Winner: Danny Woods (Cosmetic Supplies Ltd) 37 Pts
A stellar performance with 37 points, securing the top spot. A first podium finish for Danny on the GBT tour. A solid round with a strong back nine helped him to his first win.
Runner Up: Jon Anderson (Catax) 37 Pts
A close contender, showcasing skill and consistency in the back nine card play-off. Yet another high 30’s round of golf for Jonny. Could this be his year to make the final???
Once his fifth round hits the OOM I think we will have a new leader.
Third Place: Robin Raymond (AFS Biomass) 37 Pts
Another super round of golf from the “The Gentleman of GBT”.
A great front 9 of 22 pts. Robin told me he missed a two footer on the last for a 38, he might just be kicking himself with that one
Guest Winner: Andy Cunliffe 39 Pts
The best score of the day and hopefully we will see more of him this season.
