A Terrific Couple of Days at Slaley Hall on the Away Trip

Manchester golf club collage - first tee and nearest the pin
For our eighth event of the tour we visited Slaley Hall Golf Club for our yearly overnight stay with two rounds of golf.
On the first day of the trip, we played the championship Hunting course, and we weren’t disappointed.
Collage Day 1 Slaley
The incredible layout, set in amazing woodland, was a great test for us all. With several lay-up holes, the Hunting course really did make us work on our round management and putting a score together. What a stunning course to play!
Day 2, saw us take on The Priestman course. Another great track! Plenty of dog-legs to try our golfing skills.

From the feedback I received, and from my own opinion, this course had one of the trickiest par 3 pin positions we’ve ever encountered on GBT. The deadly par 3, 11th hole, playing 132 yards, saw only two pars from 23 golfers. I think that says it all!

A great couple of days with good fun and fantastic golf.

Thank you all for being a part of this year’s away trip.
