All Set for Slaley Hall – The GBT 2022 Tour Away Trip | Order of Merit Standings
As most of you are probably aware, our next GBT event is our tour away trip which is taking place at Slaley Hall from tomorrow – Wednesday and Thursday (20th – 21st July).
Renowned as the ‘Augusta Of The North’, The Hunting Course at Slaley Hall is considered to be one of the best courses in the North of England – a course that should be on every golfer’s bucket list.
The Hunting Course was designed by Dave Thomas and has played host to a number of flagship events in its history – with the most recent being the PGA EuroPro Tour Matchroom Championship in 2021.
Set in 1,000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest, the venue boasts a magnificent four-star hotel in an elegant Edwardian mansion, with two challenging championship courses – the Hunting and the Priestman – which have played host to no fewer than 18 European Tour and European Senior Tour events.
Whilst The Priestman Course – which is routed over the same hillside – is open, with wide fairways and generous sized greens, the Hunting Course is much more demanding off the tee with generally narrower fairways, longer holes, and water throughout the course, making it a real test and a fun challenge.
The GBT away trip is a perfect way to enjoy the iconic courses; consisting of two rounds of golf, dinner, bed, and breakfast in the stunning QHotels Edwardian mansion.
