Our top four qualifiers—Steve Critchley (187 points), Chris Stanley (186 points), Robin Raymond (185 points), and Mike Pich (184 points)—were confirmed after a thrilling season finale. However, fate has given Martin Rayner, who finished just outside in 5th place with 183 points, another chance as Mike Pich is unable to attend. Martin, a former GBT champion who clinched the title at Castle Stewart in 2020, now has the opportunity to become a double winner. Can he repeat history and reclaim the trophy?
Here’s a quick look at the finalists:
- Steve Critchley: A consistent performer all season long, Steve enters the final in top form, securing the #1 spot in the Order of Merit. Will his steady game hold up under the intense pressure of the final?
- Chris Stanley: A close second and always a contender, Chris has shown great resilience and skill. Could he be the one to claim the trophy this year?
- Robin Raymond: Coming off a dramatic win at Worsley Park, Robin fought his way into the final four with a clutch performance. Momentum is on his side—can he ride that wave to victory?
- Martin Rayner: The wildcard of the group, Martin knows what it takes to win at the highest level of GBT, having done it before in 2020. Will this unexpected opportunity lead to a storybook finish?
🔥 The drama, excitement, and tension are all building towards what promises to be an epic finale at Dundonald Links! 🔥
In a thrilling conclusion, Martin Rayner, expertly guided by his steadfast caddie, Tim Roberts, demonstrated nerves of steel, clinching victory by a single point. This triumph makes Martin the only player in GBT history to earn the honour of two-time champion.
