When it comes to choice golfers in the North West have plenty of courses to choose from. In fact there are 15 classic links courses located in an area which spans no more than a 1 hour drive; three of these are Open Championship courses. Add to this the many other golf clubs located in the region, to suit every style and budget, and you’ll understand why it’s easy each day to practice and play when you live in the North West.

Every golfer will have a course they love to play, but here are three in the North West that come highly recommended:

The Nicklaus Course at Carden Park

Designed by golfing great Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve, this course has been described as ‘The thinking man’s golf course’. The 7th and 15th holes have double options where players must select which fairway to attack the green from.
