Welcome back, golf enthusiasts!
It’s with great excitement that we bring you the highlights and results from this year’s unforgettable GBT Away Trip to Oulton Hall Golf Club, where we took on both the scenic Calvary Course and the testing Hall Course over two glorious days in Yorkshire sunshine.
Under a cloudless blue sky and temperatures soaring above 25°C, the conditions were perfect—if not a little too perfect for some! The fairways were firm and fast, the greens were slick, and the competition was fierce. But the heart of this trip, as always, was about more than just the golf: friendships were forged, laughs were plentiful, and memories were made.
I’m thrilled to share the results and the link to the video from our exciting two-day away event.
Sixth event of the GBT2025 tour was nothing short of spectacular.
The Calvary Course Winners:
Winner: 🥇 Brian Boys – 41 pts
Yet another first class round of golf from newcomer, Brian.
He certainly got to grips with the tricky Calverley course, which had some unreadable greens. secured his first first-place finish on the tour with an impressive score and this performance is sure to boost his standing in the Order of Merit.
Congratulations and well played Brian!
Runner Up: 🥈 Steve Potter (Casa Global Sourcing) – 39 Pts
I had the pleasure of witnessing this excellent round of golf from another newcomer to the tour, Steve. He didn’t really put a foot wrong all day, and when he did, his recovery was awesome. Well played and congratulations, Spotter !

The Evening: Laughter, Lyrics & Legendary Moments
With the competitive spirit cooling down for the night, the clubhouse turned electric as players gathered for pre-dinner drinks, a delicious meal, and an evening that can only be described as vintage GBT.
Paul Johnson took to the mic to host an outrageously entertaining quiz, followed by a legendary music round that had us all in stitches (and possibly a few impromptu singalongs). Let’s just say the energy carried well into the evening—and perhaps too well for a few players facing tee times on Day 2…
A particular highlight? One of our beloved Founders, spotted in the bar post-celebration, dozing off with a drink in each hand—a perfect snapshot of the good times had by all.
As we look forward to Day 2, excitement is in the air for the challenges and opportunities that await on the Hall Course. Let’s see who will rise to the occasion and make their mark tomorrow!
