Our long-awaited return to Crosland Heath Golf Club didn’t disappoint – in fact, it exceeded expectations. With sunshine all day and a cool breeze across the moors, conditions were perfect for showcasing one of the most unique courses in the North of England.
A true Alister MacKenzie gem, Crosland Heath brought its A-game:
✅ Sloping, rapid greens that demanded precision
✅ Quirky holes carved around old quarries
✅ Towering, testing Par 3s – even the 107-yard 14th was a real card-wrecker
✅ Firm, free-draining fairways that rewarded creativity
It was a tactical test, a bucket-list layout, and a course that kept every golfer on their toes from start to finish.
🎯 Only three players managed to shoot to par on the day – proof of the challenge this track delivers. And yes, the steak pie and jam roly-poly lived up to the hype.
