We’re excited to share the highlights from our Day 1 at Oulton Hall Golf Club, where the Caverley Course provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day of golf. This gallery captures the fun and camaraderie that made the event so special.

Day 1 of the GBT2025 Away Trip delivered everything we love about this tour – sunshine, stunning surroundings, a quirky golf course, and a group of golfers somehow managing to play good golf and still cause chaos later that evening.

The Calverley Course served up a test of creativity, with tight approaches, a few surprises around the doglegs, and greens that had a mind of their own. Despite the challenge, Brian Boys found his rhythm early, carding an excellent 41 points to claim the Day 1 win, with Steve Potter just behind on 39.

You’ll see our members and guests in action, tackling the challenging greens, navigating the lush fairways, and enjoying the top-notch facilities and hospitality that Oulton Hall Golf Club provided.

Off the course, the banter was flowing, the Babycham was… too available, and Paul Johnson’s music quiz brought the house down in a way no one quite expected.
