Bury Golf Club – A Showcase of Excellence From Martin Rayner

What a day we had at Bury!

Set on a historic Alister MacKenzie-designed layout, Bury Golf Club delivered quirks, character, and competition in equal measure. From two-tier greens and tight doglegs to hills that tested everyone’s stamina in the heat, this was a true golfer’s course – and Martin Rayner showed us why he calls it home.

His superb 39-point round saw the two-time champion return to the top of the leaderboard on familiar ground, closely followed by David Griffin and Mike Birchall, both of whom made serious moves in the Order of Merit.
