What a fantastic day we had at Daveyhulme Golf Club.
What an absolutely fantastic day we had at Davyhulme Golf Club! As David Griffin rightly said: “It’s a great course.” And it didn’t disappoint.
Despite the sun keeping a low profile, conditions were ideal for golf. The fast greens and strategic layout offered a true test for all players — and the scores proved it. A real hidden gem, Davyhulme GC showed why it’s one of the North West’s best-kept secrets.

GBT2025 Davyhulme Winners
Winner: 🥇 Michael Lythgoe (Dealercast) – 36 Points
Mike delivered a rock-solid par round and signed off with style, chipping in for birdie on the 18th! A first podium finish of the season for one of GBT’s most consistent players. What a way to head off on holiday!

Matt is on the move!
Matt continued his strong season with a sharp round, securing valuable Order of Merit points — now putting pressure on Robin Raymond and edging further from the chasing pack.

Guest Winner: 🌟 Drew Follond – 29 Points
Navigating Davyhulme’s challenges well, Drew took the Guest honours with a gritty performance.

Nearest The Pin Winners
1st Hole – Dave Swann
Straight out the gates, Dave Swann meant business. A perfect tee shot set the tone for the day — cool, calculated, and right on target.
9th Hole – Martin Rayner
Just before the turn, Martin showed his class. With a smooth swing and deadly accuracy, he left himself a tap-in range and continued to chip away in the OOM race. A proper statement shot.
14th Hole – David Griffin
The man who called Davyhulme a gem decided to decorate the 14th green with a near hole-in-one. If you’re going to talk the talk, you might as well walk the walk. Classy golf from DG.
17th Hole – Robin Raymond
Robin reminded everyone why he’s a GBT favourite — threading the needle on one of the trickier par 3s. Ice in the veins and a touch of finesse late in the round. Not just a points machine, but a precision player too.
Keep an eye on this season’s consistent contenders. Teknobu Tiger will be watching closely!
