February 15 – West Lancashire Golf Club

Winner: Chris Hodson – 42 Points

What a way to kick off our 10th-anniversary season! With a stellar round of 42 points, Chris Hodson secured the top spot at West Lancashire Golf Club, setting the tone for an unforgettable year. The coastal winds added a layer of challenge, but Chris’s consistency and resilience shone through. MB Promo ensured the event started with style, and the post-round networking was as lively as the competition itself.

March 10 – St. Annes Old Links

Winner: Mike Birchall (BEA) – 40 Points (BB9)

A first-time victory for Mike Birchall, whose warm headgear became a talking point of the day. It seemed to bring him luck as he navigated the tricky links layout with precision and determination. The day was filled with sunshine, camaraderie, and an impressive score that left everyone applauding his well-deserved win.

April 14 – Sandiway Golf Club

Winner: Rory Aiken (Ryan) – 45 Points

GBT legend Rory Aiken delivered a sensational performance at the beautiful woodland course of Sandiway, carding an extraordinary 45 points. The highlight of his round was a series of long birdie putts that had spectators cheering. Rory’s experience and skill were on full display, proving why he remains a formidable competitor on the tour.

May 19 – Whittington Heath Golf Club

Winner: Warren Hamlin (Johnsons 1871) – 42 Points

As a new addition to the GBT Tour, Whittington Heath didn’t disappoint. The heathland layout, with its challenging rough and stunning views, provided the perfect stage for Warren Hamlin’s brilliant round. His 42-point victory was a testament to his steady play and sharp short game. Johnsons 1871 added to the day’s success with their support.

June 23 – Huddersfield Golf Club

Winner: Steve Critchely (SC Investments) – 40 Points

Huddersfield Golf Club offered a picturesque setting for Steve Critchely’s triumph. With a consistent performance, Steve managed to outplay the competition, securing his victory with 40 points. The day’s highlight was Steve’s impressive chip-in on the 16th hole, which proved to be the turning point in a tightly contested round.

July 28 – Bolton Old Links Golf Club

Winner: Mark Tighe (Ryan Group) – 35 Points

September 5-6 – Hill Valley Away Trip

Day 1 Winner: Robin Raymond (AFS Biomass) – 41 Points
Day 2 Winner: Michael Lythgoe (Dealercast) – 34 Points

The Hill Valley trip was a two-day extravaganza of golf and fun. Day 1 on the Emerald Course saw Robin Raymond light up the leaderboard with an impressive 41 points. Day 2 on the Sapphire Course was Michael Lythgoe’s time to shine, securing victory with 34 points. From celebratory drinks to friendly banter, the trip embodied the GBT spirit.

September 20 – Bramall Park Golf Club

September 15th – Prestbury Golf Club

What a day at GBT2024 Prestbury! David Griffin of Release My Equity played an absolute blinder, racking up an impressive 39 points to take home the top prize. With two Nearest the Pin wins under his belt, DG was in unstoppable form—well, apart from that first tee shot, but who’s counting? It was a masterclass in golf, and we’re all left wondering if he’s secretly got a deal with the golf gods. Hats off to you, DG!

Runner-up Robin Raymond of AFS Biomas wasn’t far behind, securing 33 points and proving once again why he’s having his best year on tour. With the final event looming, Robin’s in prime position to clinch his first-ever tour final spot—no pressure, mate! A massive shout-out to all participants for making Prestbury an event to remember. 3rd October – Worsley Park

Winner: Robin Raymond – 39pts

What a sensational finale at Worsley Park, bringing the GBT2024 Tour full circle from its inaugural 2015 event! The course was in pristine condition, with quick and true greens that tested every player’s precision. Robin Raymond of AFS Biomass delivered a nail-biting performance, clinching victory with 39 points—exactly what he needed to secure his spot in the tour final. Talk about performing under pressure! Hot on his heels, Mike Lythgoe from Dealercast showcased his home-course advantage, racking up 38 points and earning the runner-up spot. Steve Critchley of SC Investments rounded out the top three with a solid 36 points, securing his position at the top of the Order of Merit.

The day was filled with standout moments, including guest player Rob Firth’s impressive 40-point round—the highest score of the day. Chris Stanley demonstrated pinpoint accuracy, winning Nearest the Pin on holes 4 and 9, while Kevin Norton, Ross Taylor, and Gareth Hilton claimed the honors on holes 7, 11, and 17, respectively. As we wrap up this milestone 10th Anniversary GBT Tour, a massive thank you to all participants and sponsors for making it an unforgettable season. The course, with its breathtaking views and challenging layout, provided the perfect stage for our finalists to battle it out. As the day unfolded, the leaderboard shifted like the Scottish weather, keeping everyone on edge. In a nail-biting finish, Martin Rayner rose to the occasion, guided by his caddie Tim Roberts, and clinched his second title, earning the prestigious distinction of being the GBT’s only two-time champion.
