Why did we decide to combine golf and business?

Golf for business has, in the past, been described as a six-hour sales meeting. Although the game may not last 6 hours, when you take into account the hours spent on the golf course through fairways, greens, and bunkers, followed by a few drinks afterwards, the opportunity for conversations is endless. Couple that with a group of business owners, managers and other professionals, and you start to understand why golf is a perfect opportunity to make new connections.

Once we realised the potential that a game of golf could bring to your business relationships, creating the ability to establish strong relationships outside the confines of the office and in a more social atmosphere, we had to create GBT Events.

“GBT Events” is more than just a simple golf tour; it’s also a networking group for business owners and professionals. You get to participate in a sport you love while also meeting like-minded business professionals.

“The GBT team organise some great events and play at great venues which is one of the reasons I joined. The guys are spot on with organising things and good fun as well, and I have met and played golf with some lovely people.

As a competitive person I particularly like the league they run with the Top 4 Winners getting to play abroad. This year I was very fortunate to qualify with some stiff competition at Marbella. I did not win the final but I certainly had a good time. If you want to mix golf and business this is a great place to do it. If you just want to play competitive or fun golf than that is fine too. The events are (obviously) primarily about golf, but the importance of networking is never lost but this is done subtly and professionally.
