Windermere Golf Club – 24th September 2020

Established in 1891, the course is unique – modest in length but challenging and offering spectacular views of Windermere and the surrounding fells and some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere in the UK.
It’s a joyous layout of meandering becks, sweeping descents, strenuous ascents, rocky outcrops, and swathes of luxuriant heather, especially on the front nine. You start off up and over a blind crest, which sets the Windermere tone.

Prestbury Golf Club – 8th October 2020

This par 71 parkland course has been used as a Regional Open Qualifier. Prestbury Golf Club is laid out over undulating terrain with fantastic views over the Cheshire countryside.
Ranked 74th in National Club Golfer magazine’s 2018 list of England’s Top 100 Courses, the nature of the site coupled with the sandy subsoil means that the course drains exceptionally well and, unlike many others in the area, hardly ever closes due to heavy rainfall.

GBT 2020 Grand Final – Castle Stuart Golf Links

At Castle Stuart, nature bequeathed an opportunity for a links golf course to enjoy a rich landscape texture of Scottish ‘whins’, gorse and broom, heather, and marram – pervasive accents constituting backdrops and context throughout the golf experience – from beginning to end and changing throughout the seasons as nature commands. A rich tapestry. A landscape mosaic. A rugged beauty.

Northern Powerhouse Golf Championship 2021 – Date TBC 

The Northern Power House Golf Championship is a new event by the GBT tour team. We wanted to bring all the chambers and businesses involved in the Northern Power House to come together for the inaugural pairs competition to be held at the Marriott Worsley Park in 2021. Further details coming soon.

Formby Hall Golf Club – 9th September 2020

A former venue on the European Challenge Tour, the course at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa provides a far tougher test than your normal resort layout.

Last time GBT played Formby Hall, the quality of the greens were excellent, fast and true. The course has many water hazards not only at the edges of the fairways but also in front of greens. …

Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club – 27th August 2020

The course is set within the stunning Cheshire countryside, Vale Royal Abbey Golf Course was officially opened in 1998 & has since matured to become one of the best courses in the North West.

Beau Desert Golf Club – 29th July 2020

Hidden among the towering canopy of Staffordshire’s Cannock forest, The beauty of Beau Desert is hard to describe. The occasional passing Stag as a critic of your ability to master the rolling fairways and testing greens. You will enjoy both the sense of isolation and peacefulness here allowing you to focus on your game.

Cardin Park Golf Club – Results

The Cheshire course has beautiful views across the Carden Park estate and the Welsh hills beyond, with bunkers designed to flow with the natural contours of the landscape it really is a true test of golf. The final 5 holes are beautifully designed and will be tough finish for all levels of golfers.

Marriott Worsley Golf Club – 25th June 2020

Marriott Worsley Park Golf Course, one of the toughest inland courses with a par 71, amidst 200 acres of stunning scenery, 18-hole PGA Championship golf course features unique design, challenging play and has hosted the Champions Tour. It’s great news to get the GBT Events back on tour again and the start of coming out of Covid-19, with only 40 places available, book early to avoid disappointment.

Mottram Hall Golf Club – Results

Set in 270 acres of Cheshire’s finest parkland, the tricky, well-guarded greens are broken up into two contrasting circuits of nine. The front nine, with its impressive back-drop of the 18th century hall, gently rolls over meadowland, The back nine winds through rich woodland and is a much more demanding test of golf.

West Lancs Golf Club – 26th February 2020

Founded in 1873 West Lancs Golf Club is one of the ten oldest golf clubs in England. It’s one of the most natural but testing links course in the British Isles. Famous Golf architect Donald Steel wrote “Only in Britain can one savour the true flavour of seaside golf, of which West Lancashire is a perfect example”
